John Rozenbaum, DVM
Read Dr. Rozenbaum's Bio
Dr. Rozenbaum graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 with a strong interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery and diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Rozenbaum has attended numerous continuing education seminars. Some of his specialties include fracture repair, surgery of the stifle joint, and abdominal ultrasound.
Sarah Jones, DVM

Dr. Jones graduated from Michigan State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. She then went on to Tuskegee University and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2012. Her professional interests are internal medicine and dentistry. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children, and their cat, Gary. She also enjoys shopping, exercising, and weightlifting.
Sara Gonsler's Bio
Hello! I am very excited to be joining the AVMC team. I have been in the veterinary industry for a little over 10 years now. I wouldn’t want to do anything else. My husband and I have 4 very eccentric cats that we wouldn’t change for the world. As well as 2 large and spoiled Sheppard Mixes. We enjoy hunting and fishing and any outdoor activities. I am so excited to bring all I have to offer here at Advanced Veterinary Medical Center.

Jody started working at Advanced Veterinary Medical Center in 2020 as a veterinary assistant. She currently has an associate’s degree in criminology from Schoolcraft College. At home, Jody has a cat named Jimothy, who she loves snuggling with. Before joining our team, she worked at a doggy daycare and has worked with dogs for five years. She now has the passion for becoming a veterinary technician.

Jelica joined the Advanced Veterinary Medical Center team in 2019 with more than 25 years of veterinary experience behind her. She graduated from Faculty University Sarajevo with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine. Jelica also received a master’s degree in infectious diseases with epizootiology. She uses her knowledge and skills to help maintain and improve pet health while creating a lasting bond with each client. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, cooking, and playing with her cat, Diesel.

Lily is currently attending Schoolcraft College, where she hopes to transfer to Michigan State University to study Veterinary Medicine. She has been on the team here at Advanced Veterinary Medical Center since 2020 in hopes of gaining experience in the veterinary field before moving on to veterinary school. At home, she has a border collie named Sammy and a cat named Pumpkin. Lily’s other passion is figure skating which she has done for 14 years.

Emma started with AVMC in January 2021 while attending Schoolcraft College for environmental studies. Since joining the AVMC team, Emma has chosen a new path towards a veterinary technician degree which she plans to pursue through Penn Foster. She has grown up with a variety of pets that further drives her passion and love for all animals. In her free time, you can find her singing, playing music, or venturing into new parks and nature trails with her Aussie pooch, Rosie.

Emily joined AVMC in August 2022, she comes with 11 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Emily enjoys leading her peers and has a concentration in surgery. In her free time, Emily likes to volunteer with local rescues including Buster Foundation, Bark Bark Wag, and Homeward Bound Animal Rescue. At home, she has a 10-year-old rescued pittie named Duke and a 7-year-old rescued chow/shep/wired terrier mix named Willow.

Read Mikala's Bio
Mikala earned bachelor’s degree in sports management in 2018 and is now working on her master’s degree at Eastern Michigan University. Mikala started working for Advanced Veterinary Medical Center in 2020 while working on her master’s degree. Mikala has two huskies named Bailey and Kara and three cats named Sasha, Sadie, and Skitters. Mikala loves huskies and will pet any husky when they walk through the door. Every other year she and her dad love going to the Women’s Final Four Basketball Tournament.
